Why The Impact School

A summer that actually matters

Most summer camps keep kids busy. The Impact School Summer Camp builds them up. Every week is designed with intention: real skills, real mentors, and real experiences that your child will carry long after August.

Founded by Dr. Chakesha Scott, Ed.D., and backed by the same educational philosophy that earned The Impact School its reputation, this is not just childcare with a theme. It is a summer of genuine growth.

Real-world learning every week

Students engage with hands-on activities, projects, and enrichment tied to real skills in leadership, business, technology, wellness, and the arts.

Hands-on, not passive

Every week includes projects students actually create: PSAs, business plans, garden plots, art pieces, lemonade stands. They leave with something to show.

Values woven in, not bolted on

Faith, character, and purpose are embedded in every week's theme, not as a separate module, but as the foundation for everything students do.

Community partnership

SU Ag Center, BR STEM, SCORE Louisiana, Neighbors FCU, LACUE, LA Economic Development. The community shows up because this school is part of it.

This summer camp was built by an educator with a track record, not a staffing agency with a calendar

Dr. Scott founded Impact Charter School in Baker, Louisiana, which earned recognition from U.S. News & World Report. Every camp week is personally designed to be educationally sound, values-centered, and genuinely engaging. Your child is in trusted hands.
